1. What this site sells

Spot in Heaven sells personalized decorative PDF “deed” documents. Each deed is a digital novelty item produced for entertainment and gifting purposes only.

Buying a deed does NOT grant you any real-world property, real estate, registered land, mineral rights, air rights, burial plot, or any actual interest in any registry, public or private, anywhere on earth. No transfer of title occurs. No legal right of any kind is conveyed.

The “Registry of the Heavens”, the “Welcome letter from God”, the “Heavenly Country Club”, and any similar names used on this site are fictional, imaginative branding. They are not statements of religious fact and they do not correspond to any real registry, office, organization, or place.

Spot in Heaven is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or representative of any religion, denomination, church, faith tradition, or religious organization.

2. Who can buy

You must be at least 18 years old, OR you must have a parent or legal guardian's permission to place an order. By submitting an order you represent that you meet one of those conditions.

3. The order

When you place an order you provide a recipient name, an email address, an optional dedication, and (for pet spots) an optional pet photo. In return you receive a personalized PDF deed delivered to the email address on file.

Most orders deliver within minutes. If your deed has not arrived within 24 hours, check your spam folder and then contact us via /contact.

4. Pricing, fees, and payment

Prices are shown on each product page and are subject to change. The price displayed on the product page at the moment you place your order is the price that binds the transaction.

A 3.5% processing fee is added at checkout. All payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not see, store, or transmit your card number.

5. Personalization and content you provide

You own the content you submit to us: your name, your dedication text, your pet's photo. By submitting that content you grant Spot in Heaven a limited, non-exclusive license to use it solely for the purpose of rendering and delivering your deed.

You confirm that you have the right to use any photo you upload. That is, the pet is yours, or you have permission from the owner and from anyone identifiable in the image.

6. Things you can't put on a deed

• Anything illegal under U.S. federal or state law.
• Hate speech, slurs, harassment, or content targeting a person or group.
• Third-party trademarks, copyrighted artwork, or other people's intellectual property.
• Real-world legal claims of property, title, or jurisdiction.
• Personal data about a third party submitted without their consent.

We reserve the right to refuse personalization that crosses those lines and to refund the order in full.

7. Intellectual property

We own our brand: the “Spot in Heaven” name, the Halo Pin mark, the registry typography, the deed templates, and all site copy and design.

You may print, frame, and share your personalized deed for personal, non-commercial use. Please do not resell our designs, redistribute our templates, reproduce the brand, or use our marks to suggest endorsement.

8. Refunds and returns

See /returns for full details. Short version: digital personalized goods are non-refundable except in the case of delivery failure or file corruption. If your deed never arrived or arrived broken, contact us and we'll make it right.

9. Disclaimers

This is a novelty product, sold as is, with no warranties of any kind beyond what applicable law requires. We make no guarantee of any particular spiritual, religious, metaphysical, eschatological, or post-mortem outcome, because no such guarantee is possible.

Nothing about purchasing a spot creates any legal, spiritual, or contractual obligation between you and any deity, any afterlife, any heaven, any saint, any clergy, or any place. Spot in Heaven has no affiliation with any religion, denomination, or religious organization. The deed is a decorative keepsake. It is not a prayer, a sacrament, an indulgence, a blessing, or a will.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Spot in Heaven's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to your order is limited to the amount you actually paid for that order.

We do not assume liability for emotional, spiritual, religious, or reputational effects of the product. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change.
